Is entry to the inside of the Great Pyramid of Giza possible, and what should I expect — is it claustrophobic?

Yes, you can enter the Great Pyramid for an extra ticket (separate from the general Giza plateau ticket), but daily numbers are limited so go early. Be honest with yourself about tight spaces: the passage is low, narrow and warm, and there isn't much to see inside the burial chamber itself — the experience is about being inside, not decoration. If you're claustrophobic, the smaller pyramids of Khafre or Menkaure are usually less crowded and gentler. Photography is restricted inside, so check the current rules at the gate.
